Pastor Anderson
was born and reared in the rural area around the tiny Central
Georgia town of Glenwood, which has a static population of
approximately 500. He graduated as valedictorian of the senior
class at Glenwood High, and he played both basketball and
baseball. Following graduation in 1960, he moved to Atlanta,
Georgia, to pursue a career in business.
On June 24, 1962,
he married the former Patsy Clements, his high school
sweetheart. They now have five grown children, plus one already
in heaven who was stillborn.
After spending
13 years in secular work during which time he was ordained as a
Baptist deacon, taught numerous Bible classes, and became a bus
captain, God called him into full-time service. Eighteen months
were spent in the college and church at the large
Trinity Baptist Church in Jacksonville,
Florida, when Dr. Bob Gray was pastor. Transferring back home to
Baptist University of America in Atlanta, a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Bible was earned with honors in 1977. Pastor Anderson
was conferred an honorary doctorate by
Trinity Baptist Seminary in 1997. Pastor
Anderson views himself as "an ordinary man on an extraordinary
mission" with anything accomplished owing to God's marvelous
grace and the faithfulness and prayers of his Godly wife of
these 40 plus years.
Roger
Prillhart
Roger
was born in 1946 in Kingsport, TN. His parents were saved while
he was very young. He was raised in a good Christian home.
Later as a young man he was drafted into the U.S. Army and did a
tour in Vietnam. After returning to the US, in 1971 he
enrolled in Tennessee Temple University. He heard
preaching like he had never heard before. He realized that
even though he had been raised in a Christian home he was not
born again, but was lost and needed a Savior. He was
saved as a student at TTU. He meet Donna and were married
in May of 1971. Roger and Donna have been in the Ministry
since that time. The Prillharts have two sons David
and Aaron. David and his wife Elizabeth and their granddaughter
live in Haines City, Fl., Aaron serves in the Army
Reserves. Aaron and his wife Joanna just had their second child.
Dr. Martin Cook
I praise the Lord for His goodness in my life and the
opportunity to serve Him at Liberty Baptist Church. Doris and I both are from
the Atlanta area and we met as young teens and have been married for 33 years.
We have one daughter, Heather who is actively serving God. I was saved along
with my wife Doris in 1975 in our home after Doris visited a church as a result
of the bus ministry. We trusted Christ when presented the gospel on a follow-up
visit. Immediately we began serving in the church and then God called us into
full-time work. I started in 1980 and have served in 3 different churches in the
last 26 years. The Lord has given us many souls and it has been a blessing. We
are excited about serving the Lord at Liberty and what He has in store for us!
